How Many Feet of Film Do You Have?

Not sure how many feet of film you have?

Most reels have foot length markings on the tape flange (the metal circles with holes on either side of the tape reel housing) or the tape canister ( the plastic canister that comes with some tape reels) that allow you to line the end of the tape on the reel up with a nearby foot marker.

Otherwise, you can place a tape measure in the centre of the reel and measure, in inches, how far from the centre of the reel your film comes out. The number of feet you have depends on the number of inches; the runtime of your tape
